Cervical cancer vaccine study in Victoria looking for volunteers
The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne is looking for mature age women volunteers to be part of a global study checking the safety and effectiveness of a new vaccine to protect against cervical cancer.
Participants will receive a three dose course of either the vaccine or a placebo.
Each year more than 500,000 women worldwide are diagnosed with cervical cancer and 288,000 die from the disease.
