Celebrating heroes in aged care

The finalists for the Bethanie Medallion have been announced for this year’s awards, to be held on Wednesday, 7 August 2013.

The finalists for the Bethanie Medallion have been announced for this year’s awards, to be held on Wednesday, 7 August 2013.

Celebrating its 10th year, the Bethanie Medallion is an honorary citation presented in recognition of an individual or organisation having a history of consistently delivering an exceptional standard of service within the aged care sector.

Bethanie Group chief executive, Stephen Becsi, said: “This year is even more important as we celebrate the Bethanie Medallion’s 10th year in recognising the people who give unselfishly to others, serve above and beyond the call of duty, seek to enrich the lives of others, and simply make the lives of elderly citizens easier and more enjoyable.”


2013 Bethanie Medallion categories and finalists

Bethanie Professional Medallion: recognises a professional with a history of consistently delivering exceptional service within the aged care sector.

Dr Pam Nichols – Alzheimer’s Association

Michelle Harris – Bethanie

Julie Brady – Bethanie Elanora

 

Bethanie Volunteer Medallion – Organisation: recognises an organisation that has shown outstanding dedication towards others in the community, inspiring others to contribute to, and participate in the aged care sector.

Bethanie Volunteer Medallion – Individual: recognises an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to those in aged care in a voluntary capacity.

The winners will be announced at the ceremony on Wednesday, 7 August at the UWA Club.
