Celebrate Healthy Weight Week!
There’s no quick fix when it comes to being healthy – small consistent changes over time may make all the difference. The message emerges during Healthy Weight Week, which kicks off next Monday (17 February 2014).
Australia’s most recent and largest health survey shows more than 60% of Victorians are overweight or obese.
Sprout cooking school’s accredited practising dietitian, Themis Chryssidis, encourages Melbournians to use Australia’s Healthy Weight Week to look at what happens in their kitchens and to learn one or two new recipes during the week.
“Food doesn’t need to be bland or boring. Everyone can cook a yummy and healthy meal in their own kitchen that doesn’t take all night, because let’s face it, nobody has time for that,” he said.
To celebrate the week, Sprout has put together seven quick and healthy recipes in the Australia’s Healthy Weight Week 2014 free online cookbook titled Everyday Healthy. The cookbook can be downloaded from the Australia’s Healthy Weight Week website.
Australia’s Healthy Weight Week will kick off from Monday (17 February 2014). The theme for 2014 is healthy cooking and teaching all Australians how to brush up on their healthy cooking skills in the New Year.
