Call for aged care workers not to benefit from residents and clients
An aged care lobby group wants laws to prevent carers in aged care homes being named as beneficiaries in wills.
The lobby group, www.agedcarecrisis.com, has backed its suggestion to a Federal Parliamentary inquiry into aged care with a series of examples of financial impropriety at Australian aged care facilities.
The group said it was also concerned that elderly Australians were being “locked-up” without any right of appeal.
