Leading Australian businessman and advertising legend, John Singleton, has launched a hard hitting national bowel cancer awareness campaign aimed at reducing Australia’s bowel cancer death toll.
Developed with the Gut Foundation of Australia, the emotive community service advertisement entitled “12 a day” uses terrorist attack imagery to reinforce the fact that almost 12 Australians are lost every day to bowel cancer.
Gut Foundation president, Professor Terry Bolin said, “This campaign is confronting but so too are the statistics and lack of understanding of bowel cancer in this country. This is a disease which is preventable and yet it is still our nation’s second biggest cancer killer.”
