Bilingual educators available for info sessions
TRI Community Exchange’s Nepean Multicultural Access Project and the new Nepean CALD Information Support Project can offer free information sessions to culturally and linguistically diverse community (CALD) groups in “Getting to Know the Australian Aged Care System”.
This offer is now available for CALD community groups in the Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions in New South Wales.
The program is a total of 8 hours but can be delivered over four weeks in four two-hour sessions (this is the recommended method). Bilingual educators speaking the following languages are available to deliver the information to older people and/or carers for frail aged and people with a disability: Arabic, Chinese – Mandarin and Cantonese, Turkish, Assyrian, Vietnamese, Farsi, Tamil, Spanish, Greek, Croatian, Macedonian, Tagalog, Samoan and Korean.
Services working with any of the above language groups that would like these free sessions delivered, should email Leila Wright, leila@tricomm.org.au
