Baptistcare celebrates 40 years
West Australian aged care provider Baptistcare will celebrate 40 years today (Monday, 18 June 2012). The 1970s theme of the afternoon tea event at Baptistcare’s Welshpool Support Services Office will reflect the era when the provider commenced operations in 1972.

The 1970s theme of the afternoon tea event at Baptistcare’s Welshpool Support Services Office will reflect the era when the provider commenced operations in 1972.
Baptistcare’s chief executive, Dr Lucy Morris, will address guests with information about the forthcoming Inaugural Recognition Awards. As members of the Baptistcare community, guests will be encouraged to nominate a staff member who they believe has contributed towards the values of Baptistcare.
Proud to reach its 40th birthday, Dr Morris said the Baptistcare team were particularly pleased to “honour the people who make Baptistcare special; the staff who make a difference in people’s lives”.
Many upcoming celebrations to mark Baptistcare’s life over the past 40 years are expected, including various 1970s themed events at each of Baptistcare’s aged care, disability and mental health service sites, as well as time capsules, a gala dinner and the Inaugural Recognition Awards Ceremony held in September.
The annual awards reportedly serve as a “yearly reminder” to every member of Baptistcare that practising the values of daily work provides the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others.
