Baby boomers provide opportunities for small business
The latest Sensis Business Index shows baby boomers are the preferred employees of small businesses.
Operators were twice as likely to choose a baby boomer employee than one from Generation Y.
Survey respondents said they valued the reliability and quality of work they got from baby boomers, as well as their organisational and communication skills.
However, a lack of ideas and innovation were seen as the biggest weaknesses of this generation by employers.
