Australian seniors feeling safe

Researchers studied seniors’ perceptions of their personal safety in their home and in their
neighbourhood, and the predictors of feeling safe in each setting.
The vast majority of respondents reported feeling safe in their home (96%) and neighbourhood (92%) all or most of the time.
Men were more likely than women to feel safe and this feeling of security did not decline with age.
