Atlas of Productive Ageing
Have you ever wondered how many older people live in your neighbourhood? Or what the average wait time is for elective surgery in your state?
A new tool, recently released by the National Seniors Productive Ageing Centre, will allow you to quickly access this information and view it on easy-to-understand maps of Australia.
It provides information on the following themes: activity, health, housing, finance and population.
To use the Atlas, visit http://www.productiveageing.com.au and click on ‘Atlas of Productive Ageing’ – this will take you to the main page. Then you can choose whether you want interactive data at state or Local Government Area (LGA).
To access the data, click on ‘data’ and select the theme, specific topic and gender/age grouping of interest. A detailed tutorial is available on the main page of the atlas.
