Anti-Poverty Week 14-20 October
Anti-Poverty Week focuses on poverty around the world, including Australia. Its main aims are to:
· strengthen public understanding of the causes and consequences of poverty and hardship;
· encourage research, discussion and action to address these problems.
Last year, overr 400 organisations and more than 7,000 people were involved around the country.
Everyone is welcome to organise activities or join in something being organised by other people. The activities can be large or small, and activities at local levels are especially welcome.
