Cleveland residents in Queensland can now enjoy a range of health services thanks to the new Anglicare Health Clinic.
Opening today, and located opposite the Redlands Hospital precinct, the Weippin Street clinic will be staffed by registered nurses with access to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, activities officers and personal carers.
Anglicare Southern Queensland, Metro South regional manager, Dr Shane Farmer, said the move to the new Cleveland premises provided clients with more flexible health care options.
The new Anglicare Health Clinic has a modern clinic room offering wound, continence and diabetes services, as well as chronic condition management and nail care services.
“Anglicare identified this location for our new Bayside office and Cleveland Health Clinic to position our services closer to clients and medical providers in the Cleveland area to enable a one-stop location for high quality and accessible healthcare,” Dr Farmer said.
An afternoon tea to mark the opening will take place from 3.30pm to 5pm and will be attended by Karen Williams, Mayor of Redlands City and Andrew Laming MP, Federal Member for Bowman.
A blessing will be performed by Canon Rod MacDonald, Anglicare director of mission and social justice at about 3.45pm.
