Alarming level of violence against older women

ABC Life Matters has broadcast a program about a new report which has uncovered some alarming data about rates of violence against older women.
One in four women who report physical violence from their partner is aged 45 or over.
‘The Disappearing Age: a strategy to address violence against women’, a project by the Older Women’s Network in New South Wales, reports on a hidden and growing problem.
The guests on the program were Ludo McFerran, Australian Domestic and Family Violence Clearinghouse and Josie Jackson, an older woman who had experienced domestic violence.
