Aged care expands in Kalgoorlie WA
A $1.9 million Western Australian government grant will allow a Goldfields aged care provider to expand the potential use of its current site to include more accommodationoptions for frail and aged low income earners in the region.
WA Health Minister Jim McGinty said the grant would allow the Little Sisters of the Poor to acquire freehold title to 1.6ha of state government land in Victoria Street, Kalgoorlie.
“The grant has been offered on the condition that the land will continue to be used to provide aged care accommodation.
“Options being considered are independent living units and a high-care aged facility,” Mr Mcginty said.
