Advocate for elderly homeless wins top ACSA award
Mr Bryan Lipmann, AM who is founder and CEO of Wintringham Victoria, which provides care and services for over 750 homeless persons has won the Aged and Community Services Australia (ACSA) Award for a lifetime’s excellence and contribution to aged care.
He has been at the forefront of transforming perceptions and approaches to aged homelessness for 20 years, when he determined to provide quality housing and services based on respect, dignity, choice and ‘a bit of luxury’.
The award, along with eight others, was presented today in Melbourne at the ACSA National Conference, ‘Ageing: It’s Everyone’s Business’.
