ACT gives older Canberrans a say on transport

Posted
by DPS

The ACT Ministerial Advisory Council On Ageing (MACA) is calling for older Canberrans to have a say in their transport needs.

MACA is hosting a series of forums across Canberra to collect information about the transport needs of older Canberrans, now and into the future.

The Council was established as part of the ACT’s Government’s commitment to senior residents of the ACT, and has a major role in providing advice on issues that impact on older people.

The forums, which began last week, are an opportunity for older Canberrans to have a say on the public, private and community transport needs of the ageing population.

The outcomes from the Forums will contribute to the development of future Government policy.

More information, along with a questionnaire for those people who cannot attend the forum is available at www.ageing.act.gov.au/ministinfo/
