ACT and Tasmania agree on seniors card benefits
Holders of the government issued seniors card who live in Tasmania will soon be able to use their cards when they travel to the ACT and vice versa.
Tasmanian Premier, Paul Lennon, became the first leader to respond to ACT Chief Minister Jon Stanhope’s recent request for bilateral agreements on transport concession reciprocity to be signed.
Seniors’ organisations are still pushing for a nationally recognised system to allow all seniors card holders to access concessions anywhere in Australia.
