Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Seniors Spectacular online talent quest is being celebrated until this Sunday.
Over the past few weeks contestants have been uploading their video performances for judging by the general public and by quest sponsor, Flight Centre.
The quest judges – performer Debra Byrne, celebrity stylist, Stefan Ackerie and writer/journalist/singer-songwriter, Sue Wighton – are now deliberating and selecting the winners, who will be announced on Friday.
Singers dominated the polling, with a 70% swing to those who can belt out the ballads, with a whistler, tap dancer and comedic actor winning the remaining seats in the top 10.
The winning spectacular senior will receive return tickets for two to Hollywood. Second prize is a return flight for two to Fiji or Vanuatu, and the third prize winner will receive a return flight for two to Melbourne or Sydney.
