$1 million boost for Tasmania’s vulnerable

A $1 million boost to support those struggling most with the impact of the global economic downturn has been announced by the state government.
The funding will be distributed to emergency relief providers such as the Salvation Army and Anglicare.
In addition, an extra $100,000 will be provided by the Australian Government to help Tasmanian communities that have never had access to emergency relief before.
