We are an established part of the Laidley community, situated in the historic rural village in the Lockyer Valley region of south-east Queensland.
While our award winning gardens put on a great show, we deliver more than colour in our care at Tabeel. Employees are strongly focussed on providing variety, spontaneity and helping residents find meaning in their daily activities. Our residents enjoy the benefit of the Eden Alternative which encourages a home-like environment featuring pets, plants, indoor gardens and regular visits from local children.
Our broad range of accommodation and care options has helped us to create a vibrant, diverse community within the service. We offer residential aged care (including dementia and palliative care), seven serviced apartments, five low-cost rental units, three respite rooms and 29 retirement village units.
We offer quality ageing in place for residents. Ageing in place provides the opportunity to stay in the same service, regardless of changing or increasing care needs. In many cases, this has enabled families to stay together.

“If you have a positive spirit in a place it makes a difference to the journey of the residents. The spirit of humour is evident at Tabeel – you feel, see it and it’s embedded in the residents’ smiles.”
Australian ‘Clown Doctor’ Peter Spitzer
Tabeel’s award winning gardens feature a sea of colour.
Poppies, snap dragons, petunias, perennials and a memorial rose garden are a homage to the grow-anything climate in the south-east Queensland town of Laidley.
Rest areas and viewing spots dotted throughout the garden are a great setting for observing nature or eating a meal with visitors.
Residents are welcome to work in the garden beds, and are helped to establish thriving potted gardens.
