Stirling Community Food Services
Nutritious and delicious meals plus a friendly face to check in on you - we deliver more than just a meal. Our home delivered meals service supports aged & disabled residents of the City of Stirling as well as several other local governments. Our two course meals are cooked daily in our purpose-built kitchen & delivered freshly chilled Monday to Friday every week, as well as providing weekend meals.
What do we provide?
A main meal and dessert make up the nutritious two course meals that are cooked daily in our purpose-built kitchen, with meals delivered five days a week (with specific arrangements when public holidays occur on a week day.) We cater for one main meal, seven days a week (although multiple meals of the same meal may be purchased). Our rotating menu offers a variety of wholesome meals.
The meals are delivered freshly chilled so they can be heated and eaten when it suits the client. We are able to cater for many individual requirements such as texture modified meals, or specific diet related meals such as vegetarian and diabetic friendly meals.
Volunteers checking in on customers
Our meals are delivered to the customer's home which allows volunteers to check on their wellbeing and seek assistance if needed.
Food services can accommodate customers who have allergies if supported by a medical certificate or doctor's letter confirming this. We strive to meet the person's needs however we can experience limitations to the meals we can offer where clients have excessive dietary requirements. This will be discussed on a case by case basis or we may be able to recommend an alternative meal service.
Stirling Community Care is unable to provide meals for customers suffering from any nut allergy or intolerance.
About our Food Safety Standards
Stirling Community Food Services is proud to have achieved and maintained accredited status in an internationally recognised food safety program (HACCP). This food safety system is independently audited each year and ensures the food safety standards of meals.
Who can access this service?
An initial inquiry can be made by anyone including the person needing the meals, relatives, friends, neighbours, hospital or a doctor. Potential customers will need to be assessed for eligibility to receive the meals at the reduced HACC price or may choose to receive meals at the private rate if requiring assistance but not HACC eligible. Meals are able to be delivered within two working days. The meals are available to people who have a disability or health condition that makes preparing their own meals not possible.
We currently supply home delivered meals on behalf of several other local governments and customers may be eligible to receive our service in these areas depending on where they reside. We are now delivering to even more suburbs. Contact us to find out if we deliver to your area.
What is the cost?
The cost of a delivered two-course meal is kept to a minimum. For the current price, please telephone our office.
