Nestled in one of the original tree lined streets of Murrumbeena, just off the Monash freeway and close to Chadstone Shopping Centre, St Michaels is perfectly positioned and is within a three minute walk to the Murrumbeena shopping hub, railway station and three green parklands: Boyd Park, Riley Reserve and Springthorpe Gardens.
St Michaels was founded in 1962. Originally a solid brick house of the area, it has been transformed over its many years of operation into a unique and remarkable home to care for the elderly. Special care has been taken as it evolved over time to never lose the homelike feeling and community spirit for which it is known.
Our team is the heart and soul of the St Michaels community. We employ specialised staff who are committed and passionate, and who embody our core values. St Michaels is committed to the ongoing education and personal development of our staff, to ensure continuous learning, constant innovation and ultimately provide the highest level of care. The St Michaels team is led by the nurse and finance directors, who together have over 50 years of aged care experience.
Providing a high level of continuous care and services, complete with a Registered Nurse on duty 24-hours a day to only 40 people, St Michael's is a rare boutique aged care home. We believe that resident’s bedrooms should not look like a hotel, but feel like a home and that gardens should be a place to be enjoyed rather than looked at from afar.
Our philosophy is simple – we are dedicated to enriching the lives of each and every one of our residents. We strive to do this through compassionate and personalised nursing care, of the highest standards. Our focus is on creating a warm, happy home for our residents, within a supportive community where their families & friends remain an important & integral part of their life.
Choosing the right home for your loved one is an important decision. We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have and provide you with all the relevant information you need to make this decision.
