Amana Living’s brand new resort-style retirement community in Australind will open its doors today (Friday, 6 July 2012) to an iconic community centre, ‘The Club’.
In the lead-up to the official opening, Amana Living Treendale has this week been putting the final touches to The Club (pictured), which is a facility offering residents a “holiday lifestyle all year round”.
Situated in Australind, near Bunbury, the $4 million centre includes formal and casual dining areas, a bar and pool table, café, craft/activity room, theatre, library, hairdresser, pool, spa and gym, a two-lane bowling green and landscaped gardens.
Amana Living’s Jill Hanna, general manager of strategy and corporate support, tells DPS News social activities are a “key component” to village life.
“It’s important to have lifestyle choices for older people to ensure they have options of where they want to live. Having access to recreational facilities, like The Club, right on the residents’ doorstep is important,” she adds.
Amana Living chief executive, Ray Glickman, describes The Club as a “stunning and unique building”.
“It promises to become an iconic landmark, and I feel sure it will encourage retirees to consider moving into the new Treendale community, which has just completed its second stage of development.”
The Club will be officially opened today (Friday, 6 July 2012) at 12.30pm (WA time) by Amana Living’s Chairman of the Board, Steve Scudamore, followed by tours of the facility and an opportunity to view a villa.
