May Shaw, Scottsdale incorporates Aminya and James Scott facilities.
Aminya and James Scott facilities are located in the heart of rural North East of Tasmania and boast magnificent panoramic rural views of rolling hills and Mount Stronach.
Both facilities are located in Scottsdale, a comfortable 45 minute scenic drive from Launceston, and situated a short 20 minute drive from the seaside town of Bridport. The town of Scottsdale is home to many facilities, including a comprehensive medical centre, a hospital, pharmacy, major banks, and many other services facilities.
James Scott is a 29 bed purpose built facility. Rooms are bright and spacious with majority having a shared ensuite. There are sunny courtyards and kitchenettes to enjoy spending time taking in the peaceful rural views of the adjacent farmland.
James Scott offers 2 funded respite rooms and guest are welcome to utilise all facilities during their stay.
All rooms have electric high/low beds and appropriate furniture and storage areas - leaving plenty of opportunity for personalising the space with favourite items of furniture such as an armchair or bookcase. The bedrooms and bathrooms have monitored emergency call bells and there is a Registered Nurse available 24 hours a day. All rooms are located a short distance to the central dining room.
Our catering staff provide home cooked meals to meet with dietary requirements and tastes of all care recipients. Individualised and cultural specific diets are easily accommodated.
Our care recipients are able to participate in group activities and individualised programs, which are developed to cater for individual preferences.
James Scott is more than an Aged Care Facility, its a home that harnesses the North East country living.
