Overlooking the Derwent River and situated on the scenic shores of Lindisfarne Bay, Freemasons’ Homes of Southern Tasmania offers residential aged care in an ultra modern facility accommodating 171 residents, and provides for independent living in 49 individual units.
Freemasons’ Homes of Southern Tasmania Inc. commenced operation in 1951 with the construction of its first ‘cottage’ for the aged and invalid. Since that time the organisation has grown to become the largest aged care provider on Hobart’s Eastern Shore.
Our professional staff provide the highest quality level of care in a compassionate and respectful environment.
Freemasons’ Homes comprises 171 single rooms with mostly private ensuite facilities, catering for all levels of care including a secure dementia unit, and three respite placements for temporary residents.
Our very lively activities programme has been designed to both entertain and stimulate. Activities include visits from musicians and schools, bingo, men’s group, church services, choir and gentle movement activities. Our residents also enjoy coordinated outings such as walking groups, bus excursions and luncheons.
Please do not hesitate to contact Freemasons’ Homes for more information or to arrange a tour of the facility at your convenience.
