Mary's Grange is situated in the heart of Taroona and is easily accessed along the Channel Highway from both the Hobart and Kingborough regions. This is an ageing-in-place facility pleasantly surrounded by gardens and trees and is only a short stroll to the beach. The welcoming and homely comfortable furnishings complement the ambience of the facility. The variety of shared spaces support larger social gatherings and provide space for shared activities. The larger of these spaces are suitable for shared dining experiences and socialising. There are also smaller spaces which are suited to more personal social interaction with family and friends. The Chapel provides space for both the regular church services and more private spiritual reflection.
There are a range of individual rooms which have a variety of differing designs with many having access to private ensuite facilities, a bright sunny aspect and have views over-looking the surrounding garden or courtyard areas.
The home has a dedicated team of professionals who provide care which meets residents' needs. With a focus on supporting residents to live an engaging and interesting life, we complement the care of the residents with a vibrant and active lifestyle program. This program incorporates residents' interests and ideas and is reflective of their wishes. The lifestyle program engages residents in a range of social and leisure aspects that promote well-being. An important component of the support to residents is the dedicated pastoral care team who provide spiritual and emotional support. Residents care needs are further supported through a range of allied health support services, including regular visits from physiotherapy, podiatry and speech therapist.
Onsite hairdressing services enables residents to maintain their personal presentation-routines.
As the newest facility to join the Southern Cross Care fold, there are re-development plans in the future to improve amenities for residents and provide a state of the art aged care residence.
