We're here to support you to age with purpose in your own home. Like Our Own is a boutique, premium in-home aged care provider based in the beautiful bayside suburbs of Melbourne. We believe there is more to ageing than just staying alive - it's about pursuing your purpose, your meaning and fulfillment and joy.
You’ve told us that all of you want to stay at home for as long as possible. But you’ve also told us that it’s not just about staying at home and staying alive – it’s a means to an end. Each of you has a purpose, a passion, some meaning for which you don’t just stop striving for or getting joy from just because you retire or age. That purpose and meaning is the true fulfillment which brings you joy – and that’s the goal which frames how our in-home care.
Lots of providers can send carers to help you at home. We will understand your goals, passions, purpose and design a personalised care plan which enables you to achieve your goals. Otherwise as an aged care provider we’re just going through the motions of sending carers, clocking hours and charging rates. All of our people focus on your purpose and goals, and want to ensure you achieve the fulfillment and meaning you’re striving for.
We started Like Our Own due to seeing what happens in the industry and having elderly parents ourselves. We will treat you like our own family, and likewise once you meet us and get to know us you will treat us like your own.
