Kilara House is nestled in the leafy Diamond Creek and offers a friendly, warm and welcoming home like environment. Our staff are dedicated and professional and Kilara is proud of its commitment to quality care.

Every individual room has a unique atmosphere with garden views from many rooms adding to the serenity and privacy offered. All our rooms are quite spacious with varying sizes and amenities.

Amenities can include an ensuite, telephone access, proximity to secluded outdoor areas and the opportunity of enjoying different lounge areas.

There are three lounge areas including one with a cosy fireplace for those winter days when sitting by the fireplace brings back nostalgic memories! The main lounge also has a wide screen TV, enabling all those favourite programs to be watched in comfort. Internet access is available 24 hours, seven days free of charge.

Our meals are prepared fresh daily by a qualified Chef and we have an excellent reputation for lovely meals and afternoon teas. We also offer each resident the opportunity of having recipes that are family favourites, cooked for either afternoon tea or at times, as a meal to be shared with other residents.

Quality care is provided as required by a range of professionals to ensure optimum health and wellbeing. In addition to Personal Carers assisting with daily care needs, a Registered Nurse is available to attend to more clinical needs. Visiting Doctors, Podiatrists, Physiotherapists, Dietitians and other allied health practitioners also contribute to the professional services on a regular basis. Also “free” dental services, eye checks, free glasses and hearing checks are available for pensioners.

We provide a range of interesting recreational activities such as bingo, drawings, art & crafts, Word on Wheels, board games, movie sessions, singing along, bus trips, outings and gardening with the aim of making every day a happy one.
