John Wesley Gardens

Opened in 2016, John Wesley Gardens is a welcoming, modern aged care community that promotes a relationship driven service model, placing residents at the heart of community life.

The community offers spacious single, double and superior suites complete with ensuites. All rooms are finished with quality fittings and fixtures and feature air conditioning, a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and phone connections and a large picture view window (most with garden outlooks). Each suite has been designed with privacy, comfort and relaxation in mind and includes a bed and bedside table, built-in wardrobe, armchair, shelving & picture rails. Residents and their visitors can also enjoy the architecturally designed surrounds and lush outdoor garden spaces.

Nestled in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood, on-site services include a cafe, hair salon, library, outdoor entertaining areas and a children’s playground.

John Wesley Gardens provides care that is responsive and flexible, tailored to each resident’s individual needs. All residents have convenient and timely access to services such as podiatry, physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy and speech pathology through Wesley Mission Queensland’s own specialised aged care health professionals. This streamlined approach to care allows specialists to easily and confidentially communicate with nursing staff and tailor support to the individual needs of all residents.

Wesley Mission Queensland was the first provider of aged care in Brisbane with the Sisters of Nursing in 1907 and established Queensland’s first aged care community in 1936. This ensures all staff can respond to your individual needs effectively and accurately, including medical, cultural, religious and dietary.

Dining
We provide quality meals to ensure your dining experience is an enjoyable and social one. Chefs regularly meet with our dieticians, nutritionists and speech pathologists to plan a range of delicious healthy meals, which are served buffet-style in our dining rooms.

Our approach to dining is flexible. Whether you want to dine with friends in the dining room, entertain family or guests in private dining spaces, or enjoy a quiet meal in your room, it's all about providing choice.

Lifestyle
Wesley Mission Queensland understands how important it is to know each resident as an individual and provide them with choice and flexibility. Each day staff look for meaningful ways to provide opportunities for varied social events and activities, encourage the use of old talents and the learning of new ones, and create a home where residents feel safe and comfortable. By working alongside them, staff can also help residents to maintain existing connections with family and friends and stay active and social in their community.

Residents have access to the conveniently located community amenities in Geebung including a supermarket, cafe, Seventh Brigade and Marchant parks, Westfield Chermside, and public transport.
