Our counsellors and palliative care nurses think the DPS Guide to Aged Care is wonderful. The first box of Guides went in hours, and I was inundated with requests for more, so thank you.

In my role, I support all patients who are going into residential placement, taking referrals from social work after an Aged Care Assessment Service. I have therefore given out the DPS Guide to Aged Care for many years now. Families have always expressed to me that they felt relieved just to know they had such a resource. I was extremely pleased when I opened the 2014 DPS Guide to Aged Care and saw the new format. I was with a family at the time and they also expressed how much easier having the facilities broken into suburbs was going to make it for me. Since linking our Retire Real Estate web listings to our own website, we have had numerous enquiries and many of them have led to unit sales. The team at RRE are very efficient and helpful and are always happy to change our listings and photos accordingly. Listing on the RRE website is incredibly easy and saves us having to update our own website constantly whilst also including us in a much bigger search engine. The Guide is really helpful to many of the families here, especially for the permanent care and the respite sectors. Families could look up the addresses and contact numbers as opposed to previously not knowing where to begin with when they have to search for a facility closeby. I have to acknowledge that the checklist provided at the end of the book have been equally helpful in assisting and prompting the families to have an idea what to look for when visiting the facility.
