As we age, the likelihood of unwanted muscular pain increases, although almost everyone can appreciate the potential for light exercise and stretching to provide relief. At other times sharp pain and soreness can arise suddenly, making fast acting pain relief products a great solution.

Applying heat to a sore or inflamed area helps by dilating blood vessels, promoting blood flow and relaxing sore and tight muscles. Heat and cold is also great for the relief of joint and muscle pain caused by mild arthritis.

What is heat useful for?

Heat and cold has been used widely for managing the symptoms of pain and includes heating and cooling products for pain relief. Pain relief product benefits are wide-ranging and can include:

  • Relief of pain associated with mild osteoarthritis

  • Reduce pain caused by sprains and strains

  • Relief for neck and back pain

  • Warming up before physical activity

  • Reducing pain before bed time that might help you with a better night’s sleep

Deep Heat Regular Relief, for example, provides targeted pain relief and works by increasing blood flow to the affected area. It provides relief of everyday pains – so you can use it daily as required to relieve pain fast, so you can go about your daily activities.

Daytime pain relief

Springing out of bed and straight into vigorous action isn’t an option for everyone. Why not take advantage of heating products to reduce pain and ease into your day instead? After all, life isn’t a race to the finish line. There have been some great new heat products for temporary pain relief and pain management. Here are just a few examples courtesy of Deep Heat.

Low Odour Pain Relief Cream: This is a great alternative for people who are averse to strongly scented products. It still contains pain relieving ingredients such as glucosamine, capsaicin and arnica for targeting muscle and joint pain.

Deep Heat Back Patches: Winner of the Professional Warm-up & Recovery ‘Product of the Year 2017’ award, Deep Heat Back Patches provide sustained, long-lasting targeted temporary relief of back pain, muscular aches and pain, joint stiffness, strains and sprains. Sports Pain Relief Spray: Great for sporty outdoor people and keen gardeners who require an instant burst of heat for temporary pain relief. Deep Heat Sports Pain Relief Spray is a convenient spray which is great for sports bags and helps relieve pain quickly so you can get back into the action.

Night time pain relief

Waking up fresh, positive and with reduced pain can sometimes be reliant on getting a good night’s sleep. It seems easy in theory, but some of us require more than dedicated early to bed and early to rise strategies. Here are a few soothing, comforting and relieving options to help you get up on the right side of the bed in the morning.

Night Relief: Deep Heat Night Relief is an extra strength formula designed to tackle more intense pain, and can be used every night before bed as required to ease and treat pain for a better night’s sleep. Night Relief contains methyl salicylate and menthol for fast acting pain relief.

Pro Sports Recovery Massage Oil: The specially engineered HOTFLUX formula combined with massage is the professional way to warm down, loosen muscles, ease knots, recover movement and increase blood circulation.

Mild Arthritis Pain Relief

Despite your best intentions, some aches and pains may be chronic, but that doesn’t mean the pain symptoms can’t be alleviated. Deep Heat Arthritis Relief is an extra strength cream formulated to provide fast and targeted temporary pain relief of mild arthritis, rheumatism, Fibrositis and joint pain. It can be used daily as required to reduce mild arthritic pain so you can go about your daily activities.

Always read the label. If symptoms worsen or change unexpectedly, talk to your healthcare professional. Follow the directions for use.

A pain relief regime is multi faceted, and wherever possible should also include regular light exercise and stretching routines, plus a healthy diet. Here are some more handy and easy to apply pain relief regime strategies to help you stay on top of your game and get on with your day (and night) with reduced pain.
