WE DO HOME CARE DIFFERENTLY
Home Care Assistance is the leading provider of in-home care for seniors. We work closely with family members to provide older adults with quality care that enables them to live healthier, more independent lives at home. Founded in 2002 by Clinical Psychologists & a Geriatric Care Manager, our services are distinguished by the calibre of our Caregivers, the responsiveness of our staff and our expertise in dementia and live-in care. We embrace a positive, balanced approach to ageing centred on the evolving needs of older adults.
How Home Care Assistance Can Help:
Cognitive Therapeutics Method™
We proudly train our Caregivers in our proprietary Cognitive Therapeutics Method, a one-on-one activity based program designed to delay the progression of symptoms related to dementia. Based on scientific research suggesting that mental stimulation is associated with slower cognitive decline, the program targets the five primary cognitive domains. The activities are fun and engaging, intended to not only keep clients mentally active, but also to improve their overall quality of life.
Balanced Care Method™
Home Care Assistance Caregivers are trained in our proprietary Balanced Care Method™, a holistic approach to longevity that promotes healthy mind, body and spirit.
Home Care Assistance’s online care management software features a family status portal, which allows loved ones to view progress notes on their family member’s care at any time and from anywhere. We also conduct regular quality assurance visits to ensure client satisfaction.
Home Care Assistance University
Home Care Assistance is the only senior care company with an online training portal designed specifically for Caregivers and other staff members to enhance their client care skills and knowledge. Curriculum topics include dementia care, healthy nutrition, mobility support, hospice, and more, reflecting best practices and cutting edge research in ageing and longevity.
Leaders in Post-Hospitalisation Care
Home Care Assistance is committed to the wellbeing and safety of the clients we are privileged to serve. Our "From Hospital to Home Care" guide and website (HospitaltoHomeCare.com), part of our extensive educational suite of materials, provides an overview of the challenges and resources associated with each step in the transition from hospital to home with the goal of reducing hospital readmissions and ensuring optimal recovery.
Caring for older adults who need continuous care is our specialty. Our live-in Caregivers stay at the client’s home 24 hours a day, giving family members peace of mind that their loved one is never alone. Primary and backup Caregivers are provided for full time, live-in care clients to help ensure continuous coverage.
Hourly care services help individuals maintain normal routines and activities of daily living. With just the right support, older adults can enjoy their way of life in their own homes, surrounded by their possessions, pets and a familiar environment.
We can also provide companionship and monitoring during temporary hospital stays or in transition and nursing homes. Clients can even take their Caregiver with them on vacation, allowing everyone to travel with peace of mind.
