Harold Hawthorne Community Centre in Carlisle was established in 1968 and provides a wide range of services and support to people in the local community.
The Centre is located right next door to our Retirement Village and offers a luncheon diner open Monday to Friday, social activities, visiting beauty therapist, podiatrist, yoga instructor and ample social and event space.

Harold Hawthorne Community Centre’s Home & Community Support team provide an extensive range of in-home services to people eligible for the Home and Community Care (HACC) program and to private clients. The services are tailored for individuals who wish to stay independent in their own home and in their local community.
These services include:
- meals, including meal preparation in the home, Meals on Wheels and accessing meals at Harry’s Diner
- personal care
- domestic assistance
- carer respite
- assistance with shopping and banking
- shop by list
- garden and home maintenance
- social activities and outings
- social activities centre
- social interest groups, eg book club, coffee club, touring group.
