Halls Creek community Care Inc. provides support through the National Disability Insurance Agency program funded by the Australian Government Department of Health:
· We provide support under National Disability Insurance Scheme to people from 25 years and under the age of 65 years, or 50 years if Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders with disabilities, and their carers who need additional support to enable them to live comfortably in their own homes.
· We also assist the frail, and disabled people of Halls Creek and outlying Aboriginal communities to maintain their independence and remain in their respective communities;
· We assist the target population to achieve a better standard of living by providing them with practical help and encouragement in the management of their everyday affairs;
· We involve the community in meeting the needs of the disabled through the development of a volunteer program which would incorporate appropriate training
· We facilitate a coordinated approach to the planning and provision of services to the disabled which utilises existing government agencies and community services
· We consult with and include the disabled people in the planning, provision and development of services designed to meet the needs for their continued enablement.
