Fairview Village
About
Fairview Village is a not-for-profit, community based organisation which has been providing services to the elderly in the Warragul area for over sixty years. Warragul is located just an hours drive East of Melbourne along the Princes Highway, and is located centrally to the Mount Baw Baw snow fields, the South Gippsland coast and the gourmet region of West Gippsland. A regular bus service from Fairview Village into the township of Warragul and return, operates on a daily basis.
Fairview Village comprises a 68 bed aged care facility, 82 unit retirement villas, 16 independent living apartments and also offers respite care and community aged care packages. All services are located on the one site.
The aged care facility operates on an ageing in place basis. All rooms are single rooms with their own ensuite facilities with the exception of three double rooms to cater for the needs of couples.
Staff within the aged care facility includes Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, qualified Diversional Therapists, Personal Carers, and Physiotherapists. There is an on site doctors clinic available one day per week and an onsite hairdressing salon available two days per week.
A comprehensive lifestyle program across seven days per week offers residents the opportunity to participate and socially engage in a wide range of activities which recognise individual differences, allow choice and decision making, but also promote an inclusive community atmosphere. Pets are very welcome in the aged care facility as well as in the village.
