Uniting AgeWell Strathdon Community
Organisation Uniting AgeWell (64 other services)
Welcome to Strathdon Community, our Uniting AgeWell residential home in the Melbourne suburb of Forest Hill where we offer 168 places.
Our residents enjoy flexible and individual attention, tailored to their needs, whether that is a little help with everyday living, or intensive support for those with cognitive and mobility challenges.
Accommodation ranges from single rooms with ensuites and generous personal storage options, to memory support accommodation in a non-restrictive environment with ready access to pleasant outdoor areas. There are Independent Living Units co-located on site; plus a day therapy centre and access to home support packages for community clients.
There is a dining room and lounge in each residential wing, plus outdoor courtyards and walkways. There is also a Chapel, a function room, a games room with billiard table, and an arts and crafts room.
Our Lifestyle Program provides a wide range of daily activities to enhance residents’ wellbeing. We provide a high level of staffing and a Registered nurse on site at all times.
Because meal times should be a pleasure and an opportunity to socialise, all meals and snacks are nutritious and freshly cooked on the premises, making it easy to cater for all individual needs and preferences.
Our on site Marny’s Café, with its outdoor al fresco dining area is a warm and welcoming social hub for residents, staff and visitors. An adjacent Internet kiosk is available seven days a week, and we also provide a fully equipped hairdressing salon on site with stylists available three days a week.
Uniting AgeWell Strathdon Community is fully accredited.
