Uniting AgeWell Girrawheen Community
Organisation Uniting AgeWell (64 other services)
Welcome to Uniting AgeWell Girrawheen Community, our residential home in the Melbourne bayside suburb of Brighton, where residents enjoy a caring and supportive environment that promotes respect and dignity for each individual.
We provide round-the-clock care for up to 31 residents; and our dedicated staff take the time to provide personalised attention. This flexible approach is tailored to individual needs, which is particularly helpful for residents who may experience challenges regarding cognition or mobility. Our Registered Nurses are also trained in palliative care.
Our latest offering is our Premium Room, a refurbished single room with its own ensuite. Our companion rooms are spacious, with privacy curtains and generous individual storage. Some have shared ensuites, while communal bathrooms are easily accessible.
Our residents are encouraged to make choices and decisions regarding their care and lifestyle. Families are encouraged to be involved in the planning and development of care and services for residents, and volunteering enquiries are welcome.
Our lifestyle program also provides the opportunity to be involved in many varied activities; and everyone is welcome to relax and enjoy our tranquil outdoor garden areas, sit and chat in the visitors’ lounge or even take a leisurely stroll to the local shopping precinct or the foreshore. If you visit Girrawheen be sure to pop out the back to see our chicken pen.
Our Registered Nurses and trained care staff provide round the clock care; and all meals are nutritious and freshly cooked on the premises, making it easy to cater for all individual needs and preferences.
