IRT Berala on the Park is a first class care facility offering exceptional and professional 24-hour care to suit individual needs and promote your ongoing wellbeing.

We welcome each resident as an individual and give you and your family the peace of mind that you are being lovingly cared for by our professional team. We also take care of all the chores for you, such as washing, ironing, cooking and cleaning, so all you need to focus on is enjoying your free time and meeting new friends.

Community features

Three large elegantly furnished courtyards to soak up the warm sunshine or read the paper. Planter gardens where you can grow fruit and vegetables. Two large lounge rooms where you can relax with a cup of tea. Hairdresser salon onsite.

Care centre living

At IRT your independence and personal choices are as important to us as they are to you and your loved ones. We tailor services to promote your ongoing wellbeing and offer a range of care solutions to suit your individual needs.

IRT care centres offer you a home for life, allowing you to remain with us for as long as possible in familiar surroundings. We offer a range of services aimed at helping you to stay in your home at the care centre should your care needs change.

Your meals are carefully prepared by IRT Catering, which develops menus in consultation with qualified nutritionists and with our residents’ enjoyment and nutrition in mind. We cater for individual dietary needs, including vegetarian diets, gluten-free products or balanced meals that suit the needs of diabetics.

Specialised dementia care

We understand the special needs of residents living with dementia. IRT Berala on the Park provides safety, security and comfort through the provision of specially designed care, diversional activities, secure accommodation and outdoor areas. Our care employees are also specifically trained to provide dementia care.

Suite inclusions

Care suites are equipped with the essentials and we encourage residents to bring in their favourite mementos, such as photos and travel souvenirs, to make their new room feel like home. Suites include:

  • Individual flat screen television
  • Fully adjustable electric beds
  • Remote control for bed, lights and television
  • Built-in wardrobe
  • Built-in bedside drawers including lockable drawers
  • Comfortable lounge-style chair
  • Kitchenette with a fridge
  • Reverse cycle air conditioning
  • Internet and telephone access.

Your choice of activities

  • Bus trips to local shops or day-long outings
  • Indoor activities such as bingo, karaoke, billiards, book club, carpet bowls and arts and crafts
  • Birthday celebrations
  • Social get-togethers such as concerts, theme days, happy hour and BBQs
  • Gentle exercise to keep the body active.

125 beds. 2 are respite beds. 19 beds cater for secure dementia.
