With the findings from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and COVID-19 pandemic, the aged care sector will be drastically changing to raise standards of care for older Australians and this Conference will be focussed on the new role of procurement in aged care and how procurement can deliver against the challenges the aged care sector will face.
Better care requires more money and aged care operators may struggle with the cost involved with improving care to the new standards. The Aged Care Procurement Conference 2022 will be addressing the challenges of procurement in the aged care sector and how to help design the operating cost model to ensure high quality care that is affordable indefinitely.
Guest speakers for the event include Minister for Senior Australians and Aged Care Services, Richard Colbeck; Chief Executive Officer of Council on the Ageing (COTA), Ian Yates; Executive Director of Procurement and Supply Chain and Chief Procurement Officer at SA Health, Andrea Andrews; and Procurement Manager at Anglicare Sydney, Shehan Michael.
