This symposium is the culmination of Dementia Australia’s Quality Care Initiative, a project started in 2018 to identify how people living with dementia, and their families and carers define quality dementia care.
Dementia Australia are bringing an impressive line-up of local and international speakers who are leaders in person-centred care, workforce engagement and leading change, as well as six current sector leaders who will share short case studies on their successful service delivery locally.
At a time when the Aged Care Safety and Quality Royal Commission has highlighted the need for sector transformation, the National Symposium will be a must-attend event for sector leaders. In addition, keynote speaker, Professor Dawn Brooker has agreed to extend her stay to run a series half day interactive masterclasses with Dementia Australia in five capital cities.
