Estia Health Grovedale (formerly known as Geelong Aged Care) was purpose built to create a warm and welcoming home-like atmosphere. It features eight secure specialty units, each comprising a small number of comfortable rooms that residents are proud to call home.
Situated opposite the green expanses of the Grovedale Recreation Reserve, this residence prides itself on delivering exceptional personalised care.
Estia Health Grovedale (formerly known as Geelong Aged Care) is near Victoria’s surf coast, and close to shopping centres and the Geelong CBD. The modern facility is situated in a quiet residential street, with ample onsite parking for visitors.
A facility bus takes our residents on a range of outings and the daily newspaper can be organised on request. A diverse range of daily activities are offered by our dedicated lifestyle team, with regular visiting entertainment a highlight on the calendar. And our on-site salon, with visits from the local hairdresser twice weekly, gives our residents opportunity for pampering.
Strong links with community groups mean welcome company for our residents. Visits from school children, veterans groups and kindergarten classes are popular events. There are also monthly non-denominational services, and an appreciation of cultural diversity with the enjoyment of specific culture days.
Well-balanced and nutritious meals are freshly prepared and cooked on site under the supervision of our professional chefs. A wide variety of health and wellbeing programs, designed by qualified coordinators, are tailored to each resident’s personal needs.
Allied health professionals such as physiotherapists and podiatrists are part of our support team, and hairdressers are on site as required. Reflexology, and pain and massage therapy, are available on request.
Importantly, we offer exceptional levels of care and service. Our staff are on call 24 hours a day to help out where required or just to share a quiet chat. We also offer a secure memory support unit dedicated to ongoing specialised care for those with higher care needs.
Common area description
Each of the separate units includes an intimate dining area, giving our residents the opportunity to build friendships and bond with their companions in a home-like atmosphere.
Adjacent to these dining areas are bright lounge rooms, with cosy armchairs to nestle into with a good book and space to take part in the home’s daily activities. Nearer the end of the units are light-filled bay seating and sitting areas, which offer quieter spaces for our residents to enjoy the company of others or for some private time.
External courtyards and landscaped private garden surrounds offer an array of outdoor seating for warmer days. And our residents are welcome to tend their own plants and pots in the gardens outside their rooms.
