Eldercare Seaford
About
Background
Eldercare Seaford is located on Adelaide's beautiful and rapidly developing southern coast. The Seaford site is close to beaches, shopping centres and easily accessible via the Southern Expressway, train and bus services.
Environment and Services
Each of the 100 spacious rooms has an ensuite and independent reverse cycle air conditioning, with provision for data cabling, cable television and telephone access. Each room has a lovely view.
The site has landscaped gardens, water features and outdoor seating for family and friends. Our beautiful courtyards are visible from walkways and rooms above, providing a stimulating outlook. Residents enjoy secure courtyard gardens & entertaining areas.
Visiting doctors and allied health services are available for all residents along with complementary therapies, such as massage. Our site has up-to-date equipment to meet resident care needs. We offer a varied menu prepared by qualified Chefs, and menus are updated in consultation with residents, staff and families.
Our on site hairdressing salon is conveniently located on the
ground floor.
Our lifestyle activities are culturally sensitive and offer a wide variety of group & individual activities. Our pet therapy program, in particular, is very popular with all residents. We have a home theatre area where movies & documentaries are shown. Residents also enjoy the use of an Internet kiosk. There are open spaces, as well as secluded spots for residents and their families to sit.
Seaford offers a secure environment after hours for staff and residents, with the use of swipe cards to access the building.
Staffing
Eldercare Seaford is the largest employer in the Seaford Moana area. Our integrated team approach provides residents with well qualified and dedicated staff who work in the community they live in. Our facility has good staffing levels with plenty of opportunity for training & career development, flexible roster arrangements, and the use of electronic care documentation and up-to-date equipment.
Community and Social Networks
We have strong community ties with our large volunteer base and strong links with the Seaford Ecumenical Mission and local public and private schools. A variety of fundraising events such as our fete provides valuable funds to support our lifestyle program.
Family and friends are encouraged to play an active role in the social life of the facility and we promote regular communication with them via relatives meetings, newsletters, email and SMS.
