ECH Wellness Programs support older people to stay active through health and fitness programs that enhance wellbeing and independence.
About our services
Our comprehensive range of wellness services and experienced staff allows us to develop an individualised program which includes regular reviews to ensure your preferences are accommodated wherever possible. Services vary across our locations and can include:
- occupational therapy
- exercise physiology
- massage therapy
- speech pathology
Health and fitness groups
Our range of health and fitness groups varies across our different locations and is designed to suit a variety of fitness levels and experience. Groups can cover the following areas of interest:
- preventing falls
- improving balance
- aerobic and strength training
- chronic disease management, including Moving Towards Wellness
- modified exercise for specific conditions, for example Parkinson's Disease
- Tai Chi
- Zumba (modified)
- heart health
- Strength for Life
- general fitness.
How to access
Our Wellness Programs are open to people living in the community who are 50 years and over. Strength for Life is also available. Referrals are welcome from individuals, families, carers, GPs and other health professionals, and interpreters can be arranged if required.
Affordable fees apply, and can be reduced in special circumstances. For specific information regarding fees and programs contact your ECH Wellness Program.
