Barunga Community Care offers a range of services to eligible people living in the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula, Lower North and Barossa regions in South Australia.
There are two types of Government subsidised support for those who wish to remain in their own home for longer.
COMMONWEALTH HOME SUPPORT PROGRAMME (CHSP)
Entry level services offered through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme include transport, domestic services and centre-based respite (only available to certain regions).
HOME CARE PACKAGE (HCP)
The higher level of support offered is a Home Care Package which is a personalised package of care tailored to suit your needs.
It may include a combination of services such as domestic assistance, personal care, allied health, home maintenance, social support, meal preparation, shopping, light gardening, transport and medication support.
To receive Government funded services, you need to apply for an assessment with My Aged Care. Barunga Community Care can help you through this process for free.
PRIVATE FEE-FOR-SERVICE
Private fee-for-service is an option that allows you to access support immediately. You do not require Government assessment, tests and subsidies to use this service.
If you already receive a Home Care Package and need additional support than what the package can fund, you can also access this service.
