Barunga Community Care offers personalised in-home support services to residents living in South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, Lower North and Barossa, to enable retirees to remain living in and enjoying their own home. There are two levels of support for in-home care services provided by Barunga Village: entry level - Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and higher level - Home Care Packages.
CHSP and Home Care Packages helps older Australians stay independent and in their own home and community for longer. CHSP is an entry-level programme funded by the Australian Government, to provide care for people who can mostly – but not completely – live and cope on their own. Home Care Packages provide a co-ordinated and tailored approach to care based on the client’s more complex needs.
Commonwealth Home Support Program
Services provided through CHSP include social support, to help maintain an active social life, and transport services. In-home services include domestic assistance, personal care, home maintenance and modification, and nursing care.
Home Care Package
Barunga Village will work in partnership with our client to identify their needs and goals and co-design the best way to deliver the care and service to ensure they live a more active and independent life. Services include domestic assistance, personal care, home maintenance and modification, nursing and allied health services.
