If you, or someone you care for, requires allied health treatment and/or rehabilitation, then Baptcare’s Westhaven Day Therapy Centre may be able to assist you.

Our centre offers a range of tailored therapy support services to older people including podiatry, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. These services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team who are committed to improving health outcomes, particularly for those with chronic conditions.

Day therapy aims to:

• Maximise independence in activities of daily living
• Promote health and wellbeing
• Promote self management of physical conditions.

Who is eligible?
Older people and people with a disability who live at home or receive low level care in a residential aged care home. Attendance can be arranged by referral through a doctor, health professional, carer or family member or by the individual requiring care. Services can be funded by the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or via a Home Care Package or Fee For Service arrangement.  

Transport
Clients are encouraged to make their own arrangements to the Day Therapy Centre. Occupational therapy is offered as a Home Based service.

Which area does the centre cover?
Northern Melbourne Metropolitan region. 

Transport
Clients are encouraged to make their own arrangements. However, a minibus can be made available by arrangement to assist with your transport needs. Taxis may also be used and we encourage all our clients to use their half price taxi cards. Baptcare can assist by meeting travel related expenses. Please ask the Coordinator at your site.

Costs
If you are experiencing difficulty in paying fees, please contact the coordinator who will discuss the most suitable options for your situation. We treat all enquiries with confidentiality and respect. If you are unable to pay fees, you will not be disadvantaged in accessing our programs.

Eligibility
People 65 years and above and older people with a disability.
