What is assistive technology?
Assistive technology refers to any device or system that allows an individual to perform a task that they would otherwise be unable to do. These devices aim to increase the ease and safety with which tasks can be performed by a person. They can range from a high-tech solution to a low-tech solution such as a walking stick.
