About Blue Care
Supporting people to remain independent for as long as possible is our passion. We provide this support to people at home, in the community, in our residential aged care facilities and in retirement living units. As part of the Uniting Church, we have a long and proud history of providing compassionate, holistic, quality care.
Blue Care began as the Blue Nursing Service in 1953 and has grown into one of Australia’s leading providers of community health and residential aged care. Every day, we support over 11,000 people through our nursing, allied health, personal care, domestic assistance, respite care, social support, pastoral and volunteer services.
Our services are provided through more than 260 centres located across Queensland and northern New South Wales. The majority of these services are targeted at supporting the elderly and younger people with a disability.
Care Choices
Whether the care needed is high level care or support to remain at home, our staff and volunteers can provide this through our Community and Residential Care services. Our staff work with individuals and their families to achieve maximum independence and quality of life and to support carers to sustain their caring role.
We are committed to quality service provision and all our services are subject to external quality and accreditation processes.
